Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Associate to support the Patient Access ED Spruce team at 3400 Spruce St, Philadelphia. This on-site role involves managing patient flow, scheduling, and POS activities during evenings (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week).

The PSA will handle calls, coordinate appointments, collect copays, verify insurance, and ensure accurate EMR updates while maintaining a patient-centered approach and meeting operational targets.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years medical office experience, or 4 years of customer service experience.
• Associate degree may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient arrivals/departures and POS activities.
• Schedule appointments and manage inquiries using EMR.
• Collect copays, update insurance information and process billing as needed.
