Job summary

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required; annual registration competency exam.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical office operations including scheduling, registration, EMR, patient flow, billing, referrals, authorizations, payer guidelines, compliance, credentials, privileges, and regulatory agencies; familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients; secures signatures for required documentation; follows CHMG policies.
• Obtains and verifies insurance and demographic information; explains resources available.
• Coordinates care between primary, specialty, and ancillary services.
• Welcomes and intake of patient information; creates and maintains medical records.
• Processes and routes calls; responds to inquiries; schedules or reschedules appointments; supports Patient Connect enrollment.
