Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Illinois seeks a receptionist to ensure a smooth front desk experience for patients, staff, and referrals. You will greet arrivals, verify demographics, handle registrations and assist with payments.

Strong communication and computer skills are required. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus. This is an on-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in receptionist or medical front office preferred.
• Good communication skills, with ability to use Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, provide wait time information and answer inquiries at the front desk.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle registrations.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast/measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain required patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
