Job summary

Duke Health’s Patient Revenue Management Organization seeks a Patient Service Associate to support clinic prep, patient check-in/out, and billing activities. The role involves coordinating scheduling, posting payments, and handling patient communications within a centralized revenue cycle team.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work and interact tactfully with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next-day patients and preparation activities.
• Enter pre-visit orders and prepare new patient charts.
• Check-in patients upon arrival and verify demographic data.
• Explain billing to patients according to PRMO credit and collection policies.
• Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due.
