Guidehouse is seeking an Hospital Admissions Representative to obtain and verify demographic and insurance information, assign records, and ensure accurate billing data. The role involves various shifts, including weekends and rotating holidays, with a schedule that spans early mornings to late nights.

Responsibilities include pre-certification, communicating coverage issues, and maintaining multiple computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year experience in a medical setting or heavy customer service environment.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association OR ability to obtain 90 days post hire.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document admissions/registrations; update files.
• Notify patients and families of insurance coverage issues and deposits needed.
• Review physician orders for completion and ensure required information is listed.
• Maintain multiple computer systems with accurate data.
