Guidehouse in Norwalk, CA seeks a Hospital Admissions Representative to verify demographics and insurance information, assign medical records, and support accurate billing and clinical data.

The role requires effective communication with patients and providers, pre-certification tasks, and the ability to navigate multiple computer systems. Shifts include early mornings, evenings, and weekends on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or less experience in medical settings or heavy customer service with data entry.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association OR ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to complete AVADE training within 30 days of start date.

Responsabilités

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Perform pre-certification, credit referral or deposit collection and document in system.
• Notify patients of insurance coverage issues and co-pays or deposits required.
• Review physician orders for completeness and ensure all information is listed.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and ensure accurate data entry.
• Provide excellent customer service and escalate unresolved issues when needed.
• Answer calls using a pre-established script and assist callers.
• Complete shift duties in a timely and accurate manner.
