Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative to collect and verify demographic and financial information, and to assign correct medical records and accounts to ensure accurate billing and clinical data.

The role requires high attention to detail, ability to communicate with patients and physicians, and experience in medical settings or high-volume customer service. Schedule is full-time with various shifts and potential overtime during holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year experience in a medical setting or heavy customer service with data entry and insurance web applications.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association OR ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document incomplete admissions/registrations; obtain pre-certification or authorization numbers.
• Notify patients and others of insurance coverage issues, co-pays, deductibles, or deposits.
• Review physician orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain positive customer service and escalate unresolved issues to supervisor.
