Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative to join our team in a part-time capacity, handling hospital admissions tasks at the front end. You will gather demographic and financial information, verify insurance eligibility, and assign records for accurate billing and clinical information.

The role requires 0–2 years in medical or customer service settings, a High School Diploma, and BLS certification (or ability to obtain). Night shifts with weekend rotation are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years in a medical setting or heavy customer service with data entry and insurance knowledge.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document registrations, obtain pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance issues, co-pays, deductibles, or deposits.
• Review physician orders for completeness and accuracy; meet Medicare compliance requirements.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
