Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative to gather and verify patient demographics, insurance benefits and eligibility, and assign correct medical records and account numbers to ensure accurate billing and clinical information.

The role requires scheduling across full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays, with multiple daily shift options. Candidates should have a high school diploma, some medical or high-volume customer service experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year experience in medical setting or heavy customer service environment.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients, physician offices and in-house departments.
• Obtain required signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data in computer systems and document incomplete admissions/registrations; obtain pre-certification, referral or authorization numbers.
