Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative to obtain and verify demographics, insurance benefits, and eligibility. You will assign medical records and accounts, ensuring accurate billing and clinical information.

The role is a part-time position with a varied night shift, three weekends per month and rotating holidays. You will support patients, physicians, and departments while maintaining compliant processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years in a medical setting or heavy customer service environment with data entry, insurance or other software.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsabilités

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients, physicians, and in-house departments.
• Obtain required signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data in computer systems and document incomplete admissions/registrations.
• Notify patients about insurance coverage issues, co-pays, deductibles, or deposits.
• Review physician orders for completeness and ensure all information is listed.
• Complete Medicare Compliance and obtain ABN if necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local insurance regulations.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
