Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative to obtain and verify demographic information, insurance benefits and eligibility, and to assign the correct medical record and account number for accurate billing and clinical data.

The role requires handling pre-certification, deposits and insurance issues across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends; strong data entry and communication skills are essential to support patient services and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year experience in a medical setting or heavy customer service with data entry.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients or sources.
• Assign appropriate medical records and account numbers for accurate billing and data.
• Perform pre-certification, credit referral or deposits; document in computer systems.
• Notify patients about insurance coverage, co-pays, and deposits; update patient files.
• Review physician orders and ensure all required information is listed; ensure Medicare ABN compliance.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
