Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Pastry to join our in-store team in the United States. You will be the pastry expert, leading hands-on classes, sharing techniques, and upholding the high standards of our brand. You will also drive sales of bakeware and decorating tools through engaging sessions.

The role emphasizes teaching fundamentals, ensuring class enrollment, and delivering excellent customer experiences while aligning with company initiatives and recipes.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Degree in culinary arts preferred; extensive culinary experience considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Deliver in-store culinary experiences focused on pastry and baking classes that reflect Sur La Table’s passion for food, teaching, and high standards, following recipes and game plans.
• Communicate technical concepts and advanced pastry skills clearly and encouragingly.
• Maintain expertise by staying current on products and training, and seeking additional resources.
• Drive class revenue by ensuring high enrollment, positive reviews, and guest return rates.
• Meet culinary program goals by delivering exceptional classes that drive engagement and sales.

Education
