Sur La Table in the United States is seeking a Chef Instructor, Pastry to serve as in-store expert on baking and pastry arts, delivering hands-on classes and personalized instruction that support company initiatives. You will drive sales of bakeware and decorating tools, uphold the brand's high service standards, and communicate complex pastry techniques in a friendly, accessible way.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; however extensive culinary experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsabilités

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by delivering memorable, educational pastry experiences.
• Lead pastry classes and promote bakeware, mixers, and decorating tools to drive sales.
• Ensure consistency and quality by following recipes and class plans.
• Assist with class setup, mise en place, and post-class cleanup.
• Maintain inventory, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
