Job summary

YMCA in Worcester, MA is seeking a part-time Welcome Desk Associate to support the Membership Department and deliver exceptional customer service at the welcome center. You will greet members, answer inquiries, process memberships, and help maintain smooth front desk operations with attention to accuracy and friendly service.

You will uphold YMCA values, assist with scheduling and program information, and participate in training to serve a diverse community with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with computers and front desk procedures.
• Understanding of basic accounting procedures and good business practices.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain an organized workflow.
• Able to relate to diverse groups and maintain a positive work environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to members, volunteers and visitors.
• Maintain YMCA front desk procedures with accuracy and consistency.
• Answer inquiries about membership, rates, hours and program schedules.
• Serve as a welcoming ambassador and model YMCA values.
• Assist the Membership Coordinator with front desk operations and training.
• Participate in staff training and association initiatives.
