Job summary

YMCA is seeking a part-time Membership Experience Specialist to welcome members and handle front-desk duties. You will scan cards, explain memberships, provide tours, and connect people to programs, all while maintaining a friendly, safe environment at the Welcome Desk.

You will balance cash, manage records, and assist with outreach to prospective members, ensuring a welcoming branch culture aligned with the Y’s mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least two years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.
• Basic computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Proven track record of authentic relationships with others.
• Must complete Welcome Desk and Daxko trainings in first 30 days.
• CPR, First Aid, AED and O2 certifications must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide members, learn and use member names, grant access to the facility.
• Provides information about memberships, programs and services to callers and guests.
• Conducts Welcome Desk duties, setup and maintain a welcoming, stocked environment.
• Balances cash and transactions accurately and documents shift activity.
• Offers facility tours and follows up with prospects, promoting memberships per policies.
