Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Part Time Surgical Technologist to join the OR team for KP 5 on a daytime schedule (28.50 hours per week). The successful candidate assists physicians, scrubs on all procedures, and supports the RN Circulator in the operating room.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room and assist the physician.
• Anticipate and gather needed supplies and equipment based on the procedure card.
• Collaborate with RN Circulator; report any unexpected events or aseptic concerns promptly.
• Provide on-call coverage as applicable and support cost-effective patient care.
