Job summary

Five Below in Durham, NC is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused leader for an hourly, hands-on role. You will train crew in the BEST customer service, supervise daily activities, and act as Manager on Duty to ensure smooth opening/closing, accurate cash handling, and a friendly checkout experience.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in customer service or retail leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures crew members wow customers through personal contact.
• Trains crew on the Best Customer Service Experience for a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily store activities and staff performance to deliver excellent service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for rapid floor placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Opens or closes the store, secures cash, and ensures a smooth daily operation.
