Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Salisbury, NC invites a Part-Time Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, oversee front-end and service operations, and ensure execution of brand standards and SOPs.

You will coach team members, provide MOD coverage, manage POS and self-checkout, and drive omni-channel service including BOPIS, delivery, and in-store programs like balloons and knit & sew shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Strong focus on customer experience and selling behaviors.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout systems, ensuring smooth transactions.
• Oversee Balloons, birthday party operations, and in-store programs.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in Knit & Sew Shop and other areas.
• Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, delivering timely order fulfillment.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing guidance.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices.
