Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current Montana RN license.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in responding to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, and safety.
• Responds to patient emergencies and acts as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing to adjust numbers of staff for census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and patient information for assignments.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing and timekeeping, and coordinates unit activities.
• Offers participation in hospital committees as needed.
• Promotes Intermountain Health mission, vision and values and adheres to service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned; may float to other departments within competency.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
