Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN Shift Lead I for the St James Hospital in Butte, MT. This part-time, day-shift position provides leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating resources to align with census and acuity while supporting staff and role-modeling professionalism.

The role includes supervising patient care, handling emergencies, coordinating staffing changes, and participating in committees. A BSN is preferred with Montana RN licensure and BLS on hire.

Qualifications

• BSN required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff on the unit.
• Responds as charge or lead for disasters and patient emergencies as needed.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and patient information.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping; coordinates unit activities.
• Participates in hospital committees as needed and promotes Intermountain Health values.
