Qualifications

• Experience in a general office setting preferred.
• Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with scheduling systems preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains positive relationships with patients and families by greeting and providing prompt, caring responses.
• Performs point-of-service activities (visit preparation, co-pay collection, patient tracking) as directed.
• Schedules patient visits or other diagnostic testing using hospital procedures and resources.
• Manages third-party payors and collection of co-pays.
• Follows routine office tasks (faxing, copying, filing, mailings, calls) and ensures timely communication.
• Ensures front desk inventory is maintained and communicates needs to staff.
• Keeps the department running smoothly by prioritizing workload and deadlines.
• Maintains overall department cleanliness and waiting area appearance.
• Participates in clerical cross coverage as needed.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance is followed.
• Performs other duties as required.
