Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a general office setting preferred.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Experience with a computerized scheduling system preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families with a prompt and caring response.
• Perform point-of-service activities including visit preparation and co-pay collection.
• Schedule patient visits or diagnostic testing using hospital procedures.
• Manage third-party payors and collection of co-pays.
• Handle routine office duties (faxing, copying, filing, mailings, messages) and maintain front desk inventory.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain a smooth department operation.
• Support cross-coverage and ensure a clean, organized waiting area.
