Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Patient Access Specialist to assist patients, providers and staff with navigating services, resolving issues and creating an exceptional experience. You will greet visitors, perform registration and check-out, and document calls in EPIC per established procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in insurance billing or health records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, or EHR-related support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/visitors and assist with needs.
• Answer practice calls and schedule appointments via decision tree.
• Register/check-in patients and confirm demographics/insurance.
• Document patient interactions in the EHR system.
• Maintain and scan records per standards and procedures.
• Support safety initiatives and adherence to competencies.
