Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our Gastroenterology Medical Group West. You will handle registration, concierge, and clerical tasks to support patients from arrival to check-out.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy in insurance and billing workflows, and proficient use of EPIC EMR. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with full-time benefits and on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex patient problems during registration and in treatment rooms.
• Perform administrative tasks: assist with checkout, schedule appointments, process referrals, in-office procedures, and tests; review records and manage provider templates.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and assist with denials/appeals as needed.
• Perform EMR/EHR scanning and Right Fax uploading to EPIC.
• Assist with training new team members using standard work.
• Act as Patient Services Representative or Associate when required.
• Engage in safety initiatives and complete required safety competencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
