Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, EHR, lab service support or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a concierge - greets and communicates with patients or visitors.
• Answers practice phone calls and schedules patient appointments using a decision tree where applicable.
• Identifies and reminds patients of health maintenance gaps.
• Documents patient calls in the EHR for routing and resolution.
• Registers patients and checks in, confirming demographics and insurance information.
• Performs patient check-out and schedules follow-up appointments.
• Maintains patient records and uploads documents into EPIC.
• Performs basic EMR/EHR scanning.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes required competencies.
