Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access Associate in Watervliet to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and guide them through registration and check-out processes. You will schedule appointments and document interactions in EPIC, supporting overall Patient Access Services.

The role includes weekday shifts 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and weekend 11:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with every fourth weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors as a concierge.
• Handle patient registration and check-in; verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and manage communications via calls, email, chat, etc.
• Document patient interactions in the EHR and routing/resolution notes.
• Maintain patient records and support basic EMR/EHR scanning and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned and participate in safety initiatives.
