LensCrafters in Pittsburgh is looking for a Part-Time Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will assist the optometrist, prep patients, and help link doctor and retail functions to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

The role requires strong customer service, solid communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with care and efficiency in a fast-paced eye-care environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Leadership skills are desirable.
• Strong communicator and listener with good problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image and greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prep patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling and filing of records.
• Support retention and scheduling activities, including outreach calls.
• Place contact lens trial orders and manage the contact lens room.
• Input patient data, insurance information, and care services in CIAO system.
• Maintain a safe working environment and assist with equipment disinfection.
• Support retail operations as capacity and patient demand allows.
