Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician to join our team. You will assist optometrists during eye examinations, manage patient flow, input data into the CIAO system, and maintain accurate patient records with HIPAA compliance.

A strong focus on customer service and organizational skills is required. Your role includes greeting patients, supporting exam flow, and helping with contact lens orders and inventory in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Leadership skills and strong communicator.
• Problem solving ability and organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and display a professional image.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and prepare patients for exams.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and privacy (HIPAA).
• Operate the CIAO system for inputting patient data and fees.
• Support retention of exams and manage scheduling/contact lens orders as needed.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of exam lanes and lens room.
