Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will support the optometrist with eye examinations, handle patient history, and ensure accurate data entry in CIAO with attention to HIPAA.

As part of a healthcare retail setting, responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, and helping with inventory and merchandising while maintaining high service standards and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Perform a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations, including obtaining medical history and preparing the patient.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs; consult with management as necessary.
• Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers/patients.
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and patient volume.
• Identify situations involving unsatisfied patients and resolve them effectively.
• Explain measurements and pre-examination testing to patients.
• Maintain patient records per HIPAA and store procedures.
• Input data in CIAO system accurately and manage eye care services fees.
• Maintain safe working environment and assist in compliance of visual merchandising.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and contact lenses in exam rooms.
