Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring every patient receives high-quality Optometric care. You will support the doctor and retail functions, prepare patients for exams, and handle patient records with HIPAA compliance.

You will assist with pre-exam testing and educate patients on contact lenses, maintaining a safe, organized exam area and contributing to patient retention efforts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and display a professional image.
• Answer telephones in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and assist with filing.
• Support retention and follow-up calls for exams and contacts.
• Input patient data and insurance information in the CIAO system.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and contact lenses in exam rooms.
• Support retail operations as capacity allows.
