Job summary

LensCrafters in Washington, PA is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team part-time. You will support the optometrist during exams, greet patients, manage records, and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive information.

In this role, you will use the CIAO system for data entry, help with scheduling and phone inquiries, and maintain the contact lens room and inventory. Previous retail or optical experience is helpful; customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One year of strong customer service experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and display a professional image.
• Answer telephone in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Assist optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Maintain patient records per HIPAA.
• Input data in CIAO system with fees and insurance.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and contact lenses.
• Support retention and scheduling of exams.
• Ensure a safe working environment and image in the store.
