Job summary

AEG seeks an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and provide education on care, warranties, and insurance coverage.

The role blends technical dispensing with personalized service to build trust and repeat business. You will interpret prescriptions, document in EHR/ALE, and communicate with technicians and managers to resolve issues and ensure timely order completion.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient with customized recommendations.
• Receive patient handoff from technicians or doctors and identify visual needs.
• Keep current on products, procedures, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE, ensure documentation.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lens treatments based on needs.
