Job summary

AEG in the United States is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring accurate measurements and correct lens dispensing.

As part of the team, you will stay current on products, rebates, and lens options, delivering outstanding customer service and building trust that drives repeat business.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Take and interpret prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists; enter information into EHR/ALE systems.
• Explain insurance benefits, warranties, and replacement options to patients.
• Follow up on orders; update patients on status and resolve issues; escalate when needed.
• Dispense glasses with proper fit and adjustments, ensuring visual acuity and comfort.
