Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings that fit prescriptions and lifestyle, ensuring proper measurements and lens dispensing.

As part of our team, you will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, communicate with technicians and managers, and promote high-quality service while maintaining HIPAA compliance and thorough product knowledge across insurance plans.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience by explaining products and services.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings; take measurements and dispense.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE systems and verify documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance plans, benefits, copays, and coverage limitations.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and issues.
