Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients with frame selection, ensure precise measurements, and dispense lenses while maintaining high service standards.

You will interpret prescriptions, handle EHR entries, educate patients on care and warranties, and collaborate with technicians to ensure timely order fulfillment and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• One year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE systems accurately.
• Communicate with technicians and managers; provide order updates and status.
• Inspect, adjust, and polish eyewear for comfort and visual acuity.
