Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories, ensure proper fitting and accurate measurements, and use tools like lensmeters and pupilometers to dispense eyewear.

You will also explain products and insurance coverage, process prescriptions in the EHR/ALE system, and deliver outstanding customer service in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office; strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories to fit prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain products, warranties, and care; manage insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE system and maintain patient records.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain clean, organized work area.
