Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a part-time Hospital Admissions Representative to obtain and verify demographic information, insurance benefits and eligibility, and assign the correct medical record and account number to ensure accurate billing and clinical information.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years in a medical setting or high-volume customer service. BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years medical setting or high-volume customer service experience.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association OR ability to obtain 90 days post hire.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and ensure accurate pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Notify patients of coverage issues and co-pays; document in system.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and deliver quality customer service.
