Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative for a part-time night shift. You will collect demographic and financial information, verify insurance benefits and eligibility, and assign medical record numbers to ensure accurate billing and clinical data.

Responsibilities include verifying signatures on consent and insurance forms, coordinating pre-certifications and deposits, and updating patient files. A high school diploma and strong data entry skills are required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in medical setting or high-volume customer service with data-entry
• Experience handling insurance forms and eligibility checks preferred
• Ability to follow scripts and communicate clearly with patients and staff

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources
• Enter data accurately in computer systems and document incomplete registrations
• Obtain signatures on consents and insurance forms and verify Medicare/other coverage
• Notify patients and staff of insurance issues, co-pays, deductibles, and deposits needed
• Review orders for completeness and accuracy, and ensure required information is listed
