Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative in Commerce, CA for a part-time night schedule. You will obtain demographic and financial information, verify insurance eligibility, and assign the correct medical records to ensure accurate billing and clinical data.

The role requires a high school diploma and 0–2 years in a medical or high-volume customer service setting, with BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years in a medical setting or heavy customer service using data entry and various software.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association OR ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data, pre-certification, referrals, or deposits, and document incomplete registrations.
• Notify patients about insurance coverage issues, co-pays, deductibles, or deposits.
• Review physician orders and ensure all information is complete.
• Complete Medicare compliance and obtain ABN if necessary.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and high-level customer service.
