Guidehouse seeks an Admitting Representative to gather demographics, insurance benefits and eligibility, and assign correct medical records for accurate billing. This part-time role involves night shifts, weekends, and rotating holidays with varying schedules based on patient census.

You will handle pre-certifications, deposits, and authorizations while maintaining professional communication with patients, physicians, and staff. Community hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0–2 years of medical setting or heavy customer service experience with data entry and insurance processes.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to complete AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsabilités

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients or sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document incomplete admissions/registrations; obtain pre-certification or authorization numbers.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and necessary payments; document in system.
• Review physician orders for completeness and ensure required information is listed.
• Complete Medicare Compliance procedures and ABN if needed.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and deliver positive customer service at all times.
• Answer telephone calls using pre-established scripts and assist callers.
• Complete all shift duties timely and accurately; follow safety regulations.
