Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Hospital Admissions Representative in a part-time role with a mixed night schedule. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and assign the correct medical record and account number to support accurate billing and clinical records.

The role requires a high school diploma, 0-2 years medical or customer service experience, and BLS certification or eligibility within 90 days. AVADE training may be needed within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 0-2 years in medical setting or high-volume customer service with data entry and insurance tasks.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training offered by MLK Community Hospital within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data, document incomplete admissions/registrations, and update patient files.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and required co-pays/deposits.
• Review physician orders for completeness and accuracy; verify ABN if needed.
