Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative to join our team. The role involves obtaining demographic and insurance information, assigning medical records and accounts, and ensuring accurate billing data.

The position offers a varied night shift schedule, including weekends, with potential adjustments based on census. Minimum 0–2 years in a medical or high-volume customer service environment is required, with potential for BLS certification and AVADE training within the specified

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a medical setting or high-volume customer service with data entry.
• Knowledge of insurance concepts, benefits and eligibility is preferred.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 90 days post hire.
• Ability to complete AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic information and insurance benefits.
• Assign correct medical record and account number for accurate billing.
• Enter data into computer systems and maintain documentation.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and payment needs.
• Review physician orders for completeness and compliance with policies.
• Perform pre-certification, deposits or referrals as required.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
