Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office, front desk, or scheduling preferred.
  • Strong phone etiquette and basic computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and screen high-volume telephone calls in a courteous manner and record messages.
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures according to policies.
  • Check-in patients on arrival and check-out upon departure.
  • Obtain accurate patient information and ensure registration forms are complete.
  • Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges daily.
  • Verify account balances and provide information on unpaid balances.
  • File records in appropriate sections of EMR and prepare charts for scanning.
  • Transcribe letters and create forms as needed.
  • Maintain filing and office organization.
