Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Part Time System Operator I Trainee for our Long Island City, NY office. You will operate computer-based traffic and freeway management systems to manage incidents and improve traffic conditions.

Responsibilities include monitoring roadways via CCTV and ITS devices, performing daily equipment checks, and coordinating with JTMC partners to manage incidents affecting regional travel. A NYSP background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass NYSP background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate traffic and freeway management systems to manage incidents.
• Monitor roadways via CCTV and ITS devices.
• Perform routine daily checks on ITS devices and equipment.
• Document incidents and maintain device ticket databases.
• Coordinate with JTMC partners on incident response.
