Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Part Time System Operator I for our Hawthorne, NY office. You will monitor ITS devices, operate traffic control systems, and follow SOPs to support mobility projects.

You'll assist with incident management, coordinate responses, dispatch crews for snow/ice, and collect data for performance reporting. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to adapt to varying schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a TMC-type facility or traffic management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ITS devices and traffic control per SOPs.
• Handle traffic incident management and roadway responses.
• Dispatch maintenance crews for snow/ice events.
• Record incident logs and perform data collection for system performance.
• Identify device failures and issue repair work orders.
• Respond to notices about roadwork and incidents.
• Provide information on roadway conditions to partners.
