WSP Global Inc. seeks a System Operator III - Shift Supervisor for its Transportation Management Center in Hauppauge, NY. This full-time role coordinates traffic and incident management, supervises shift personnel, and ensures procedures are followed during major events.

The position requires knowledge of ITS elements, readiness to work all shifts, including overnights and holidays, and the ability to report to NYSDOT and internal stakeholders. A valid license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years experience in a TMC or traffic incident management role.
• Proficient with MS Office, GIS and web-based information systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass background/criminal history check.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsabilités

• Available for all shifts, including overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Operate the ATMS and configure Message Plans as needed.
• Lead and direct work of INFORM System Operators.
• Prepare and maintain training documents and reports.
• Coordinate traffic and incident management functions.
• Ensure shift staff are trained in System Operators I & II.
• Serve as shift liaison to management to identify operational issues.
• Support operations during major incidents and severe weather events.
• Gather and report traffic conditions and network status to NYSDOT.
• Oversee shift continuity, briefings, and overall system performance.
• Administer on-the-job training to new and existing staff.
• Attend management meetings and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Maintain scheduling and PTO requests within the team.
• Develop ideas to improve processes and workflow efficiency.
• Uphold company policies and code of conduct.
