Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a System Operator II at our Transportation Management Center in Hauppauge, NY. The role requires familiarity with Long Island roadways, ITS elements, and the ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision.

Shift work including overnights, weekends and holidays is required. Responsibilities include operating ATMS, monitoring radios and CCTV, dispatching signals, generating reports, mentoring staff, and preparing road work information.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office, GIS, and web-based information systems.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Able to pass a background check and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ATMS within the TMC and monitor system displays.
• Monitor radios, CCTV, and incident maps for events.
• Dispatch signal malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance.
• Prepare daily reports and roadwork/open-reach documentation.
• Mentor new staff and provide 24/7 support as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure timely information.
