Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for customers needing technology support at our local store. You’ll receive training to assess needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

If friends and family bring tech questions, this role could be a fit. You’ll help customers with check-in/check-out, diagnose issues through questions and notes, and advise on repair or replacement decisions.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
