Job summary

RTI International is seeking self-motivated Field Interviewers to support the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) as part-time staff in the United States. The role involves traveling to selected locations, screening, interviewing, and recruiting respondents with project-provided equipment.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable handling sensitive questions, maintaining confidentiality, and working a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Effective communication skills.
• Available for entire training and data collection period.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile for business use.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants.
• Locate dwelling units, identify eligible adults, administer screening interviews and recruit respondents for main interviews.
• Interact with households, sometimes without a prior appointment.
• Conduct in-person interviews and collect confidential information.
• Manage project administration, including Time & Expense reports and training compliance.
• Ensure data and materials are securely handled and transmitted.
