Job summary

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented event-based part-time Line Cook to support concessions kitchens. The role focuses on culinary excellence, consistency, guest service, and high standards of food safety and presentation in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will prep high-quality items, work with various cooking techniques, and collaborate with chefs to deliver memorable dining experiences for premium guests during events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, catering operation, stadium, arena, or entertainment venue.
• Experience in premium dining, banquet, or upscale hospitality environments preferred.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature control.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items in accordance with recipes and standards.
• Use grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, baking techniques.
• Ensure items are prepared with consistency, proper portioning, and presentation.
• Taste and evaluate prepared food for quality, seasoning, and consistency.
• Prepare meals for service while maintaining temperatures and HACCP compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and follow health regulations.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment; report maintenance concerns.
• Collaborate with chefs and team to ensure smooth operations and guest experiences.
• Maintain professionalism and positive working relationships.
• Follow safety practices to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
